Your Banana Does What Exactly?

Your Banana does what exactly? (inner peel, inner beauty)

Bananas do alot more then just peel back and fill your belly. Every time you take a bite you are consuming Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, potassium, folate, magnesium, riboflavin, iron, soluble fiber, amino acid (tryptophan), probiotics, prebiotics, antioxidant phenolic and protein. This means that bananas can help you with lowering blood pressure, aid in muscle movement, increase energy, aiding kidneys to filtering blood, lowering the risk of leukemia (prelimnary reports), prevent kidney cancer,  reduce risk of stroke, promote heart health, clearing skin rashes, absorption of calcium, subdue depression, battle anemia, aid in healthy brain function, formation of red blood cells, settling PMS (<—click here to learn how to make a PMS smoothie by whoissugar), fighting infections, restoring electrolytes and preventing both diarrhea and constipation. Whew…and I here thought I was a super multitasker seems I have nothing on this 4-8oz piece of powerhouse fruit.

Bananas are a natural beauty topical or emollient because of all its properties. The minerals, natural oils and vitamins that are in bananas are great for the skin. There are ways that you can formulate a banana puree to make a concoction for the skin. For beauty tips and concoctions, try “How to make a beauty balm” or also try “Banana Beauty Benefits”.  Warning: Be very careful when using a banana concoction in your hair. Be prepared to wash the hair with shampoo after using the concoction. The natural pectin makes the banana very sticky and hard to come out with just water. Here is a link to a “what not to do” with your banana concoction by whoissugar, “Epic Deep Conditioner Fail”.

Now onto the other side of the peel

If you are allergic to ragweed, birch, timothy tree pollen, and latex, then your banana can cause you a series of reactions.  This is possible because of what is called OAS (Oral Allergy Syndrome) newly renamed as Pollen-Food allergy syndrome. In this condition, Hay fever patients sensitised to pollen develop oral allergic symptoms to certain fruits and vegetables (recited from The allergy-triggering proteins called chitinase, present in latex are also present in banana (recited from Be careful and seek an allergist before consuming bananas if you are allergic to any of the names on the list above.

Challenge: What song(s) reminds you of bananas? List it in the comment section below. I have one in particular in mind…O_o

Mrs Mulford, I loved the cartoon. It remind me of some our American cartoons like Popeye the sailorman, The Pink Panther & Scooby-Doo. Thanks for sharing this with us. My four year old loved it too!
